User terms of use
Chapter 1: General Provisions
Article 1 Purpose
The purpose of the following Terms and Conditions of use is to establish rights, meanings, and duties of both SolidIT Inc. (referred to as SolidIT) and users regarding conditions of using service provided by SolidIT, procedures and other necessary matters.
Article 2 Effect and Change of Terms and Conditions
(1) These Terms and Conditions will take effect immediately by notifying users.
(2) SolidIT may change the terms and conditions in case of changes of circumstances or on the occasion when there is an important and a reasonable reason regarding running a business. Changed terms and conditions also take effect in the same way as they did before.
Article 3 Rules besides Terms and Conditions
If matters that are not specified in these terms and conditions are stated in related laws and regulations, they shall be followed.
Chapter 2 Membership Registration and Service Use
Article 1 Definition of Member
A member is a general individual whom SolidIT deems appropriate as a member, who agrees to the terms and conditions, fills out the membership registration form for the service, and has been issued an ID and password.
Article 2 Establishment of Service Subscription
(1) A service subscription is established with both the consent of SolidIT for the user application and the user’s agreement to the terms and conditions.
(2) Those who wish to sign up as a member and to use the service must provide personal information requested by SolidIT.
(3) If SolidIT approves the subscription request from the user, SolidIT will notify the users of the member ID and other matters deemed necessary by SolidIT.
(4) The ID entered when signing up cannot be changed and only one ID can be issued to one person.
(5) SolidIT does not approve the following applications.
i. When you did sing up under another individual’s name
ii. When you did not sign up under your real name
iii. When the information on the application form is falsely entered.
iv. When there is the purpose of hindering well-beings, orders, and morals of society.
Article 3 Service Use and Restrictions
(1) The principle is to provide the service 24 hours a day, 365 days a year unless there is no special event regarding company’s business and technology.
(2) The time of service in the provision of the preceding paragraph can be limited after notifying members in advance if deemed necessary by SolidIT due to regular system inspection.
(3) An online counselling service may not be available around the clock due to personal circumstances of the counselor.
Article 4 Service Fee
(1) The service is free to use for anyone who has registered as a member.
(2) SolidIT has a duty to inform its users about exact time, a policy, and a fee regarding the subscription service prior to start charging the service.
Article 5 Management of Posts
(1) Posts refer to information, sentences, figures, sounds, videos, attachments, and material registered by users through the services provided by SolidIT.
(2) SolidIT can delete, move, and refuse to register any of the following posts without prior notice.
i. In case the content gives insult or provokes disgust to other members or third parties
ii. In case the content violates public order and morals or if such content is linked
iii. In case the content is about sales of user ID or cyber assets in games
iv. In case the content is indecent and obscene or if such content is linked
v. In case the content promotes illegal duplicated trade or hacking
vi. In case the content is the advertisement for profit making
vii. In case the content can be judged objectively as it is linked with a crime
viii. In case the content infringes rights of other members, copyrights, and other rights of a third party.
ix. In case the content does not comply with the posting rules specified by SolidIT or does not conform to the nature of the board
x. In case the content is judged to violate other related laws
Article 6 Copyrights of Posts
(1) The copyright and other intellectual property rights for the works created by SolidIT belong to the company.
(2) The copyright of the post posted by the member in the service belongs to the member himself/herself.
(3) SolidIT cannot use the post commercially without the consent of the publisher. However, if it is not for non-profit purpose, SolidIT has a right to publish within the service.
(4) Members cannot use the information obtained by using the service for commercial purposes or enable a third party to use by copying, publishing, transmitting, distributing, broadcasting or other methods without prior consent of the company, and copyright infringement on posts is subject to relevant laws and regulations.
(5) Members allow non-exclusive and free-of-charge use of their own posts for company to perform the following actions with the purpose of running, displaying, and promoting the service.
i. Duplicate, modify, convert, transmit, display, distribute posts created by members within SolidIT’s service and create secondary and editorial posts of those.
ii. Display and distribute member posts created by members within the services of related sites operated by the company.
iii. Use and provide posts created by members to media and telecommunications for the purpose of promoting the company’s services. However, in this case, the company do not provide personal information of members without the individual consent of each member.
iv. The company retains the right to use posts created by members on the Article no.6 even after the members withdrew.
v. The company cannot use the member’s posts for any purpose other than those specified in the Article 6. However, the company can move the original post to other location without changing the content of it due to merger of the company, transfer of the business and the integration of websites that the company runs.
Chapter 3 Service Withdrawal, Rejoin and Restriction of Use
Article 1 Service Withdrawal
(1) If a member wishes to withdraw from the service, the member himself/herself must request directly to the operator via e-mail.
(2) Once you provide your name, ID, contact information, and the reason for withdrawal, you will be withdrawn from the service after confirming that the information you provided matches the original record.
(3) If you cannot log in under your ID and password, it means your withdrawal has been successful.
Article 2 Rejoin Service
(1) If a user who has withdrawn from the service wishes to rejoin the service, the user himself/herself must request rejoining to the operator via e-mail as it is presented in the Article no.1.
(2) Once you provide your name, ID, and contact information to identify yourself, your request to rejoin is accepted.
(3) If you can log in under your ID and password, it means you are successfully rejoined.
Article 3 Service Restrictions
If a member of SolidIT has committed any of the following deeds, the company can terminate the service contract or suspend the service for specific amount of time without prior notice.
i. In case the deed is against public order and morals of society
ii. In case the deed is related to criminal act
iii. If you have planned or used the service with the purpose of hindering national interest or social interest.
iv. If you have stolen other person’s ID or password.
v. If you have harmed or defamed others
vi. If a single user has created 2 IDs
vii. If you have impeded the normal use of the service e.g. harming the service etc.
viii. If you have violated regulations specified by SolidIT and related laws
Chapter 4 Restrictions on Liability for Services
Article 1 Online Counseling
(1) SolidIT will do its best to ensure that the consultations details of the service members/users are not leaked to third parties except sales/technology managers and service managers. However, SolidIT is not responsible for disclosure and loss of consultations in the following cases:
i. Where the password is leaked due to user's negligence so that the details of the consultation are disclosed
ii. Where a user has deleted the details of the consultation using ‘Delete’ function
iii. Where the details of the consultation are disclosed or lost due to natural disasters or other situations that cannot be controlled by SolidIT;
(2) For a comprehensive and an appropriate answer to a consultation requested by a member, the person in charge can refer to the details and answers of the consultation.
(3) SolidIT has to delete personal information and use the details of the consultations for the following purposes:
i. Academic activities
ii. Writing activities such as printed materials, CD-ROMs, etc.
iii. Part of services contents such as FAQs, recommended consultations, etc.
iv. For creating consulting case contents
Article 2 Information Service
(1) The contents provided in the service are general and they are only for providing information.
(2) Accepting the opinions of the experts regarding information and services of this service, or those of other members/visitors who use the service is entirely up to the user's judgment. Therefore, SolidIT shall not be liable for any damage, injury or other disadvantages resulting from the use of any product that a member has been provided, information, ideas or instructions.
Chapter 5 Obligations
Article 1 Obligations of the Company
(1) SolidIT allows members to use the service unless there are special circumstances.
(2) SolidIT is obligated to provide the service continuously and stably in accordance with these terms and conditions.
(3) SolidIT handles the opinions raised by the member according to the prescribed procedure through appropriate procedures, and if a certain period of time is required for processing, the member must be informed of the reason and the processing schedule.
Article 2 Obligations for Securing Member Information
(1) Members take all management responsibilities regarding IDs and passwords.
(2) Members agree to receive service e-mails sent as part of the service.
(3) If your ID is used illegally, the member must notify SolidIT of the fact.
(4) SolidIT does not sell or provide personal information that can identify individuals to third parties that are not related to SolidIT without prior consent from the member or the user. However, SolidIT can use the information that are voluntarily provided in the following cases:
i. When providing developers necessary information for developing new functions, information and service that are useful to members
ii. When providing advertisers with statistical information (which has no possibility of revealing identity of each member) of service members and user groups
iii. When the company uses information to advertise and start the service according to the preferences of members and user
iv. When an official event such as a seminar or a conference is held by SolidIT and its partner, participation information can be shared with software suppliers, event co-host partners, and event agencies, and is used for identifying individuals, confirming intentions to participate and securing a path for applications regarding event participation application and selection confirmations.
(5) Information that can identify individuals (user name, ID, e-mail, address, etc.) may be voluntarily disclosed in the place for communication such as bulletin boards. In this case, the disclosed information will be collected, associated and used by third parties, and you may receive unwanted messages from third parties. Such actions by third parties cannot be controlled by SolidIT. Therefore, SolidIT does not guarantee any possibility of discovering member information by methods beyond the control of SolidIT.
(6) SolidIT may use ‘Cookie’ technology for the convenience of the service. Cookies are small text files used by websites to identify revisiting users and help users continue to access and use personalized services. Cookies generally work by giving the user a unique number that doesn't make sense outside the website on which the cookie was assigned. Cookies do not break into your system and harm your files. SolidIT cannot prevent the use of cookies by advertisers or related third parties of the service. If a member or a user does not want to collect information using Cookies, you can control whether or not to accept cookies in the web browser. However, the use of cookies may be required for the service (especially personalized information) to function properly.
(7) SolidIT may provide/use the member's information mutually between the service or the company and business alliances.
Chapter 6 Dispute Mediation
(1) Any disputes related to the use of the service except those specified in the terms and conditions are encouraged to resolve through mutual agreement as much as possible.
(2) If a lawsuit is filed for a dispute arising from the use of the service, the court that has the jurisdiction over the location of the company shall be the competent court.
Supplementary provision
These terms will be effective March 17, 2020.
